Clutch San Antonio Concert reviews
930 club ruined my experience
This review does not reflect the band or bands played at this venue. ONLY THE VENUE! I will say I have been to the 930 club a few times. I understand the rise in Covid cases has put all businesses on edge and businesses have been requiring masks again regardless of vaccination status. But the staff at the 930 were insanely rude and we overly policing people the entirety of the concert. They walked through the crowds to make sure masks were on; people were not allowed take videos with their phones, even if you had a drink in hand you were not allowed to pull mask down unless actively sipping it, they were escorting people out after first warnings and were trying to tell people these rules during a loud show. What I don’t understand is why was there no announcement made to let everyone know at once before the show started? And if we were not allowed to use our phones why they were only policing some while leaving others at the front to continue to use them? All in all it was insanely overboard and I feel like if the venue was that concerned about spreading of Covid the event should’ve been rescheduled. I paid too much money for my experience to be the way it was. It’s like letting children loose in a play area and then going to them individually and telling them oh sorry kid you can’t run or play here. Ridiculous and very disappointed by how the venue handled that.
